PPR starts 2011 with a string of wins

In its 40th Year PPR wins include 2UE, Hills, Ohki, Stuart Alexander and Fox Tucker Lawyers

Sydney, 9 March 2011 – Professional Public Relations (PPR), Australia’s largest national agency has stormed into its 40th year with a host of new business wins under its belt.

PPR finished the year strongly and has began 2011 with eight significant new clients across each of the agency’s sectors – consumer, corporate, technology and healthcare – and has picked up new wins across its eight offices in Australia and New Zealand.

Wins in 2011 for the agency include the Sydney consumer team supporting leading radio station 2UE in promoting its brand new line up of presenters and the consumer technology division supporting Ohki, which has entered the online retail market to highly positive reviews.

The agency has also won briefs to raise the profile of healthcare IT asset management provider Wi Protect, RØDE Microphones and corporate profiling for Stuart Alexander, distributor of iconic brands such as Perrier, Illy coffee and Mentos.

Sally Haysom, Chief Operating Officer, PPR East, said 2011 had been an extremely positive start for PPR.

“As we enter our 40th year we’re delighted to have the opportunity to work with some of Australia’s most exciting brands and organisations.

“Our success comes down to the creativity of our 170 consultants and the unique offering of eight offices across Australia and New Zealand with experience across virtually every sector. We are excited about the year ahead.”

In South Australia, PPR Adelaide has secured Fox Tucker Lawyers, an increased remit with Hills Holdings, GreenEdge Cycling and Propell National Valuers. Across the Tasman, PPR Auckland has won the brief with PPR Sydney to launch a new brand of toilet tissue paper for Cottonsoft.

The wins come as PPR celebrates 40 years in Australia. Founded in December 1970 the agency has grown from one office in Sydney to eight offices across Australia and New Zealand, with 170 staff and relationships with agencies around the world through the WPP network.

In 2010 PPR was the most awarded agency by PRIA and won B&T PR Campaign of the Year.
